***UPDATE***
As of this morning 7-31-2009 they have diagnosed Katy with Viral meningitis, which is the kind you would want to get if you get it. They are having to wait to see if there are any signs or bacterial in the culture. Katy is in A LOT of pain right now. She said her neck and back are being stabbed over and over. Please keep your prayers coming that she will pull through this quickly and that this does NOT turn into bacterial.

My very close friend Katy has been having severe headaches the last few days. The pain got so severe yesterday that she ended up having to go to the hospital. She was admitted and is now facing the diagnosis of meningitis.

Meningitis is an inflammation of the membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord. There are many types of meningisits:

Viral Meningitis
Bacterial Meningitis: which include the following
Meningococcal
Meningococcal Septicemia
Pneumococcal Meningitis
TB Meningitis
Fungal Meningitis
Amoebic Meningitis

At this point in time they do not know which type of meningitis Katy has. She is hooked up to IV's, on 2 antibiotics and pain medicine. Im very worried and concerend for her. She has a husband and 2 small boys at home. Please pray that she will get through this illness and recover quickly

Sunday Funday

Every Sunday we have our little ritual! We wake up, play, take a nap, eat lunch then start our journey for the day. We take Audree every Sunday to see all of her grandparents, that equals 3 stops!

Brett & I usually play the Wii at my parents while Audree plays with the pups and Nonna & Grandad ( my mom and stepdad).

Our second stop was Grammy & PawPaw's (Bretts mom and dad). Audree was dying to see La (Laura, our neice)! She had been saying her name ALL WEEKEND so she came over there so they could play together. We all went outside and watched the girls play t-ball. It was a lot of fun, but the best part was watching Brett. HAHA Yes he is a BIG little kid!

After our batting practice we headed to Pop Pop's (my dad)! Pop Pop had Audree a surprise, a DORA BOUNCY HOUSE!! Audree had so much fun with this. She played with the balls, and bounced all around!

Gather & Pray

I am an avid reader of Mckmama and kiddos! She blogs about everything from food to her kids to photography and anything else that crosses her mind.

Her son was diagnosed with Supraventricular Tachycardia, hydrops and heart block (you can read about his condition by clicking here. ). They were told he would never ever survive outside the womb and would possibly pass while in utero. He beat the odds and he 8 months old now!!

While Stellan hasnt had the easiest life dealing with this condition he has seemed to surprise everyone including the Dr's. However little stellan has taken a turn for the worse. He has been in SVT for 3 days now and he is having some very hard struggles right now. He has a low ph and low bicarbs. He's in some kind of metabolic, acidotic state. His body temperature is 94.7 and he is pale with cold extremities and thready pulses. He has been vomiting since last night and can not keep anything down his little body.

If everyone could please stop and pray for this precious little boy. He is MAJOR need of our prayers right now and so is their family. Please Lord watch over Stellan and heal him as you have done before.

Saturday night we wanted to take Audree to the little fair they had set up by our house. We waited until 8:30 that way it was kind of cooler outside. We got there and Audree's eyes lite up and she couldn't wait to get on the rides. there was only ONE PROBLEM..... she wasn't tall enough :o( I had to tell her that she couldn't ride the rides and we started walking back to the car. She started crying and we felt so bad. So we went across the street and took her to Kiddieland.

Kiddieland is so run down but Audree has a good time. We rode the carousel, the rockets & the choo choo. By this time is was almost 10 and Audree was POOPED!! So we headed home and went to bed.

Sunday we woke up and went to La Fiesta for some yummy lunch!! Afterwards we did our Sunday ritual of taking Audree to see all of her grandparents. First stop was Nonna & Grandad's. While Aud played with them, Brett & I played tennis on the Wii. Next stop was Grammy & Pawpaw's. Audree LOVES their doggies; Toots, Toby, & Teena. We went outside and threw the ball for them and Audree just giggles at all the doggies. Our last stop was Pop Pop and Mimi's. We stayed for yummy fajitas Mimi made. By the time we got home it was 9:00. We all got tucked into bed and off we went to dream land!

We had a fun filled weekend and we hope yall did as well!!

Night with La

Friday night we decided that it would be fun to get Audree & La (Laura) together!! We (me, brett, audree, grammy, paw paw, laura & Em) all went to Peter Piper Pizza so the girls could play some games. Audree has never been and she had a BLAST!!

As soon as we walked in she jetted towards on the lights and could not wait to play something. We bought her $10 worth of tokens (we split them with cousin la) and off we went! We would put the tokens in the games and let Audree hit the buttons, she was sooo cute! She ended up winning 274 tickets of course all by herself ;o)

After dinner we headed back to our house to get some swim time in! Laura loved jumping from the ladder and doing canon balls in the pool! Audree was being a big girl and floated around the pool with her floaties on her arms. We swam and swam and swam until it was almost bed time! After bath time, Audree and Laura laid on Audree's Doa (Dora) couch and watched cartoons until they went nighty night!

As soon as Audree woke up Saturday morning she started yelling for La at the top of her lungs haha. They played together until Laura's daddy came and picked her up. Even though there is 6 years difference they have the best time together. I am so happy and blessed that they will be so close!

Moon Walk?

Well last Saturday Audree figured out she could walk backwards, dont ask me where this kid learns all of her crazy habits!! HAHA Anywho since last saturday she has been walking backwards EVERYWHERE!! This morning she let me a video of it, although she didn't do it for very long! My stepmom says its her tribute to Michael Jackson haha

Audree was so SCARED of the pool last summer! She would scream, cry and basically freak out!! However, this year she is COMPLETLEY different!! She sees the pool and she will say "waer" and "wim".

We swam all last week!! Friday-Sunday and we will get in it again today after Audree's nap! Here are some pics from last weekend
