Is it a BOY or a GIRL?

Well as most of you know I have this word written across my forehead. I swear I get SUCKED into anything haha

I was reading on one of my pregnancy websites that there is something that "could" predict the gender of the baby and you can take it 6 weeks after your missed period OR optimal time is 10 weeks. Well as you know we are 10 weeks so I thought hey what they heck!! Off I went to Walgreens and bought "Intelligender". This test (urine based) is supposedly 85% accurate. I got home, ripped the box open and was ready to test. I did my thing, and had to wait 10 minutes for the results. Needless to say as soon as my urine hit the "reactors" the color turned immediately.

So what were my results?

TA DA! Maybe my gut instinct is right? I would ♥ to have another little princess, but you know a little prince wouldn't be so bad either! Last Friday night Audree and I were sitting on the bed playing and I just got a feeling that we are having a girl. I have the EXACT same cravings as I did with her and the EXACT same food adversions as I did with her. Not to mention this baby's heartbeat has been 168 everytime we have listened and counted and Audree's was 168 on the nose.

We shall see if this is true in about 9 weeks!

10 weeks

Well here we are AGAIN!! Another week has come and gone and HOLY MOLY we are just 2 weeks shy from being in our 2nd trimester! Yes people the first trimester is almost over, I can't believe it! I dont know if time is going by so fast because we have Audree at home to keep our minds busy or if time is just really flying by! This past week I have felt really good and I am so excited about!

If you read one of my posts last week you read that we recieved our heart doppler in the mail. We have listened to the baby every morning and every night and it brings so much JOY and HAPPINESS! Audree grabs the doppler and says "Baby". So we put the ultrasound gel on my tummy and she tells us to "Shhh....." so we can hear it. She is so darn cute!! As soon as we find the baby's heartbeat she gets the biggest smile on her face and says "Baby baby baby"! I think this not only helps bring me a sigh of relief to know our baby is okay, but its kind of like a bonding moment for all three oops 4 of us! (Ahh I can't believe Im saying 4!!)

As the weeks go by I envision our family of 4 and how everything will be complete, itll take some getting adjusting to thats for sure, but we will have all we've ever wanted (okay more money would be nice haha) and more. Just 28 more weeks until our little sugar is here, Ill be having a c-section @ 38 weeks as long as we do not have any complications before then, which everyone PLEASE PRAY we do not have a preemie this go around or ANY complications!!

How your baby's growing:

Though he's barely the size of a kumquat — a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom — and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature. He's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout your pregnancy. If you could take a peek inside your womb, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.In other developments: Your baby's limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. From crown to rump, he's about 1 1/4 inches long. In the coming weeks, your baby will again double in size — to nearly 3 inches.

How your life's changing:

(we cheated and already heard it :o) At your next prenatal visit, you may be able to hear your baby's rapid heartbeat with the help of a Doppler stethoscope, a handheld ultrasound device that your practitioner places on your belly. Many women say that the beating of their baby's tiny heart sounded like the thunder of galloping horses and hearing it for the first time was very moving. Before you got pregnant, your uterus was the size of a small pear. By this week, it's as big as a grapefruit. You may or may not be ready for maternity wear now. Even if you're not there yet, your regular clothes are probably feeling uncomfortably tight and your blossoming breasts are straining the seams of your bra. The thickening in your midsection is most likely due to slight weight gain and bloating.

I was uploading some new pictures of Audree to the computer, Ive been a bad mom and have only been taking pictures of her on cell phone, and started to look at Audree when she was just a little baby. Anywho Brett, myself and Audree looked at pictures of her from each month as she grew. Here is a picture of her 1 year ago and a picture of her now. My how fast time flies!!

Gift present from peanut jr

Audree received her first present from her baby brother or sister and she was SUPER DUPER excited about it! Peanut Jr knows just how much Audree loves Dora so we got her the perfect present: BIG SISTER DORA book!

The package came in the mail and Audree was so excited when I said it was for her. We told her her baby brother or sister had bought it for her to help prepare her for when he or she got here. Audree opened up the package and immediately screamed DOWA (dora)!!! We have read this book over and over and over, I think I have it memorized!

Hide & Seek

Well apparently my child thinks she is invinsible hahaha The other night I was in the shower and I hear her say mooooooooooooooooommy ind (find) me. So I peek my head out of the shower curtain and this is what I saw.

She thought we couldn't see her and that was the funny part! Then it was daddy's turn to find her. So there she went yelling daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddy ind me. HA I swear this girl has the biggest personality for a 19 month old!!

Belly Doppler

Well.... I am 10 week today :o) Ill post the update and the pictures on Monday as normal. However today I wanted to share my news about what we received in the mail yesterday!

When we were pregnant with Audree, I was always nervous that something would happen and go wrong ( lo and behold it did at the end) so we looked into renting a baby doppler. I found a website called belly beats and they will rent you a doppler like the Dr's use for a certain fee a month. When we got this with Audree it put my mind at ease! Before she would move, I could sit and listen to her heart any time of the day and listen as long as I wanted. Brett & I would lay there every night and listen to her heartbeat for what seemed like forever. We would count the beats per minute and it was just the most amazing sound to hear. Just to hear her heart beat over and over just makes me feel like were in heaven.

So of course we ordered it this go around as well! We got the doppler in yesterday and i was so excited! I'd been tracking it with Fedex ALL day! As soon as it came in off I went home to grab the box. I came back to work and we all waited patiently to listen to the heartbeat. We listened........and listened........and listened. We could not find the heartbeat and at this point I was really starting to freak out. I called my nurse and she said it could still be too early, but it also could depend on how the baby is laying, where my placenta is, etc. She told me I could come by today for a heartbeat check since our appointment isn't until Oct 1.

After worrying myself to death (as usual) I decided I would try one more time. Little peanut jr must have known he/she was worrying me because I laid back down and I found it right off the bat! I heard it for about 5 seconds and then poof it was gone. I tried and tried again last night but couldn't find it. This morning I woke up and decided I would give it another shot......... TA DA!! I heard the baby's heartbeating and it was going so strong. I had tears of happiness just streaming down my face. Of course I would hear it for about 5 seconds and then lose it, then it would come back again. I tried calling Brett so he could hear it on the phone but I lost it as soon as he picked up. (the baby must be really shy haha).

My mind has been put at ease and I know that my baby's heart is just beating away in there! I am overjoyed with emotions and just on cloud 9 today! I can't wait until I can find it without searching and when Audree can hear it and understand that that's her baby's heart.

1st Shiner

Well Audree got her first shiner Saturday night :o(

Saturday night she was entertaining us before the UT vs Tech game, when BOOM she hit her eye on the corner of the coffee table. We didn't see it, but my father in law said she was bending down to pick something up off the floor and I guess she misjudged the distance. She cried for just a few seconds and went on about her business. About 30 minutes later I took her to the potty and she already had a bruise. I felt SOOOOOOO horrible! Yesterday morning it was worse, but not as bad as I imagined it to be. Here is a picture of it the night of the accident :o(

As you can tell Audree was playing and being a goofball

Week 9

WELL................... here we are another week has gone by! We are now entering week 9 and WOW has this gone by pretty fast, considering we found out right before week 4! My tummy is DEF growing and pants are pretty dang tight! The heartburn started to kick in this weekend and geez it brought back memories from my pregnancy with Audree, I HAD IT ALL THE TIME!! It seems like my sickenss comes and goes in day wave forms, and the pattern seems to be like every other day as weird as that sounds. Friday I felt decent, Saturday I felt awful, Sunday I felt okay just really sleepy!

Im not sure if it just hit Brett that we were pregnant again or not, but this weekend we were laying in bed and he said you know there is a life growing inside of you, right? I said um.... yes I do and started laughing. He said do you think that is weird? I mean there is a human in your belly. I said Brett I know this! I think its the most wonderful and amazing feeling there is in the entire world!

Now for those of you who dont really know Brett, he doesn't show a lot of emotion. Like when we were pregnant with Audree he didn't really get too too excited, even though deep down he was ecstatic to be a daddy. I think as my belly started to grow and he started to feel her move is when it really hit him that we were having a baby! Audree & Brett tell the baby night night every night and Audree will pat my belly and then Brett will pat my belly. I am so extremely blessed to have such a loving and wonderful family.

You know I have had these fears in the back of my head about Audree: how will she react, will she understand that this is a baby, will she be okay, does she know she will always be my baby girl, etc. I have a hard time battling these thoughts! I know deep down she will be just fine, but goodness its hard to think about at times. I think she has a pretty good understanding of what is happening in my stomach, but its AFTER the baby is here when the test comes real! She sits and points to my stomach and says Audee (Audree) baby, she gives it kisses, hugs, if she climbs on my tummy she tells the baby sowwy (sorry), etc. I just know she is going to be an awesome big sister!!

How your baby's growing:

Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.

How your life's changing:

You still may not look pregnant even if your waist is thickening a bit. You probably feel pregnant, though. Not only are morning sickness and other physical symptoms out in full force for most women, but you may feel like an emotional pinball as well.Mood swings are common now — it's perfectly normal to feel alternately elated and terrified about becoming a parent. Try to cut yourself some slack. Most women find that moodiness flares up at around six to ten weeks, eases up in the second trimester, and then reappears as pregnancy winds to a close.

How Far Along? 9 weeks and 3 days

Total Weight Gained/Loss? - 6/7 pounds

8 Weeks and Growing

This past Friday we turned 8 weeks pregnant!

At this point I can tell I am growing, my pants are getting tighter and well so is my belly! Now if you were to pass me on the street you wouldn't know I was pregnant haha You would probably just think I had too many cookies :o)

I am down 6-7 pounds since weighing in at the dr 2 weeks ago. I try to eat when I can and what I can but most days I just dont want to eat anything. My morning sickness comes in waves and well Im grateful for that haha With Audree I was miserably sick for 10 straight weeks 24 hours a day. With this one there will be a day or so that goes by without any nausea or throwing up but then the next day it comes back full force!!

How Far Along? 8 weeks and 3 days

Total Weight Gained/Loss? -6/7 pounds!!

Maternity Clothes: not yet, well I take that back, I did try on my maternity pants the other day haha pretty darn comfy if I do say so myself

Sleep: just fine! Except out booger butt daughter likes to get up all hours of the night haha

Best Moment of the Week: my morning sickness went away for a few days!!

What I'm looking forward to- feeling our baby move and the gender

How your baby's growing:

New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.See what's going on in your uterus this week.

How your life's changing:

You may notice that your bra is getting more snug. Soon you'll likely need a larger size with better support. Rising levels of hormones cause breast growth and other tissue changes, all in preparation for lactation. Your breasts may continue to grow throughout pregnancy. Don't be surprised if you go up a cup size or two, especially if it's your first baby. Keep this in mind, and allow for room to grow when investing in a new bra.Feeling fatigued? Hormonal changes — in particular, a dramatic rise in progesterone — may be contributing to your sluggishness. Nausea and vomiting can certainly cost you energy, too. And you may be having trouble getting a good night's sleep at this point, especially if you're uncomfortable or find you need to get up to pee.

Sorry for the blurry belly pic, I took it with my phone and well im in the bathroom hahaha

Remembering The Day

Where were you when the world stopped turning, that September Day?

I can not believe that it has been 8 years since America was attacked by terrorists.

I remember it just like it was yesterday. I was sitting in my first period class, Mrs Istre's history class my Jr year in high school. We were watching a movie over colonial times when someone came in and broke the news to our teacher. The look on her face said it all....... she announced to us what had just happened. I didn't really know what was going on and how this would effect me or my family at the time. We walked into our 2nd period class, business computers, and my teacher was sitting there just crying her eyes out. We watched TV the rest of the day and watched as everything unraveled.

I remember going home for lunch that day and just cried my eyes out. How could someone kill so many people and not think twice about it? How could someone deliberately crash not 1 but 2 planes into a building full of people! I was worried and scared as to what the future would hold for our country.

So as this day passes, please remember the ones who lost their lives during this tradegic time. Those who are still fighting for our freedom and to keep our country safe and sound. Remember those who lost their loved ones and the ones who survived this terrible attack.

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day
Out in the yard with your wife and children
Working on some stage in LA
Did you stand there in shock at the site of
That black smoke rising against that blue sky
Did you shout out in anger
In fear for your neighbor
Or did you just sit down and cry
Did you weep for the children
Who lost their dear loved ones
And pray for the ones who don't know
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble
And sob for the ones left below
Did you burst out in pride
For the red white and blue
The heroes who died just doing what they do
Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer
And look at yourself to what really matters

7 Weeks

Okay so I am behind on posting my 7 week progress and my belly picture!!

My nausea has kicked itself into FULL gear! Im barely able to eat anything and ive lost 4 pounds since Friday :o( Now any other time I would be jumping and dancing for the loss of 4 pounds but not this go around! I lost 20 pounds with Audree and I really dont want to go that route again. I'm just eating when I feel like it and when I dont I grab popsicles to keep me hydrated!

So far Ive felt good, besides the nausea, but the tiredness is really kicking in. I feel like I could sleep for 24 hours and I would still wake up feeling exhausted! This baby growing stuff is hard work haha

Audree DEFINTLEY knows there is a baby in mommy's tummy. When I get home from work she usually runs to give me a hug and kiss, then she rubs my belly and says baby. At night she always give the baby kisses and tells it night night. I think she is going to be the best big sister ever!!

Our next appt isn't until Oct 1st and this will be the appointment where we should be able to hear the heartbeat. Im still a nervous wreck that something will go wrong, but I just put my faith in the big man upstairs and I know he will take care of any worried or problems. I just want everything to be a okay with baby and no preemie!!!

How your baby's growing:

The big news this week: Hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs — although they look more like paddles at this point than the tiny, pudgy extremities you're daydreaming about holding and tickling. Technically, your baby is still considered an embryo and has something of a small tail, which is an extension of her tailbone. The tail will disappear within a few weeks, but that's the only thing getting smaller. Your baby has doubled in size since last week and now measures half an inch long, about the size of a blueberry. If you could see inside your womb, you'd spot eyelid folds partially covering her peepers, which already have some color, as well as the tip of her nose and tiny veins beneath parchment-thin skin. Both hemispheres of your baby's brain are growing, and her liver is churning out red blood cells until her bone marrow forms and takes over this role. She also has an appendix and a pancreas, which will eventually produce the hormone insulin to aid in digestion. A loop in your baby's growing intestines is bulging into her umbilical cord, which now has distinct blood vessels to carry oxygen and nutrients to and from her tiny body.See what's going on in your uterus this week.Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby's development.

How your life's changing:

Your uterus has doubled in size in the past five weeks, and eating may feel like a chore — or worse — thanks to morning sickness, which by now may be in full swing. (If you're feeling fine, don't worry — you're lucky!)You may need to pee more than usual, too, thanks to your increasing blood volume and the extra fluid being processed through your kidneys. (By now, you already have about 10 percent more blood than you did before you were pregnant. And by the end of your pregnancy, you'll have 40 to 45 percent more blood running through your veins to meet the demands of your full-term baby.) As your uterus grows, pressure on your bladder will send you to the bathroom as well.About half of the women who feel nauseated during the first trimester will find complete relief by about 14 weeks. For most of the rest, it'll take another month or so for the queasiness to ease up. It's unlikely, though, that the need to pee more than usual will ease up. In fact, research shows that both the frequency and volume of urine tends to increase over the course of pregnancy

LIKE I SAID WITH WEEK 6 DONT PAY ANY ATTENTIION TO MY BATTLE WOUNDS FROM AUDREE! HAHA

Are you ready for some fooooooooooooooooootball?

Audree sure is and can't you tell who her favorite team is? That's right: HOOK EM HORNS!!

She is ready for the first game

Our first Ultrasound

Well yesterday was the "BIG" day!! We went in for our very 1st ultrasound to see our little peanut jr.

Audree woke us up at 6:30 in the morning and of course I all I could think about is looking at the clock! Time seemed like it was CREEPING by! I got Audree ready and played hoping it would pass the time a little quicker. We left the house around 7:50 because we had to drop Audree off at my mom's house ( figured she would be a little wild for the first appt hahaha).

Our appointment was at 8:30 and we got there around 8:15 (I know aren't you shocked I was actually somewhere before I was supposed to be haha). Anywho we checked in and my little wait seemed like FOREVER! We got called back, got to do the whole fun stuff, you know like pee in a cup, blood pressure and the oh so wonderful weight check (errrrrr.......). We got into the room and waited on Dr K to come and see us.

I was so nervous for the ultrasound and I have no clue why!! At first we didn't see anything, and I was getting a little scared, but then Dr K said there is a baby hiding all the way in the corner you see it? I was looking at the screen and I think I was holding my breath haha. FINALLY I saw that little booger! It is pushed all the way up against my uterine wall so the picture we got wasn't very clear, I call it "The Blob". We saw the heart beating and oh how was that a relief! I could sit there all day long and just look at it.

According to the calendar's I am 7 weeks pregnant, but of course not everybody ovulates at the same time. We did our ultrasound and little peanut jr measured 6 weeks and 4 days. (when I went in with Audree I was 6 weeks and 5 days).

After the ultrasound I got dressed and we went into Dr K's office and discussed some things. Since I had a placental abruption with Audree @ 32 weeks, this was of course the first and main question on my mind. He said that I only have a 10% chance of having this complication again. He has seen many women have one and then their next pregnancy is full term and healthy. This relieved me in so many ways, Ive been stressing and worrying about it since the day we found out I was pregnant again. We did opt for a scheduled c-section this go around so we will know exactly what day little peanut jr will be here, granted there is no complications and no preemie this go around.

Introducing our little peanut jr aka "the blob"

Pickles!!

Oh pickles…. What is it the I just love so much about you while Im pregnant?!?! I do NOT like pickles, I never have, except when I’m pregnant! It’s the WEIRDEST thing I think I’ve ever experienced!!

2 years ago when I was pregnant with Audree I caught myself sitting in the kitchen eating pickle slice after pickle slice. I was working on eating half of the jar when my husband made me stop hahaha (they were reserved for our Labor Day cookout)! I would have probably ate his hand if he put it in front of me, but I thought I would be nice as those hands would be grilling our food :o) I am just in ♥ with them. Ill be sitting and all the sudden my mouth will just start watering for them!!

Anywho I’m kind of thankful I don’t have any weird cravings like! Ive read of some women who are just out of their minds haha Here are the CRAZIEST ones I found

* the smell of bleach
* chewing on sponges
* chocolate egg sandwich
* dirt
* rubber
*toothpaste
