Wonder Pets

Audree is soooooo obssessed with Wonder Pets, Im wondering if I should start to worry haha She plays with her Wonder Pets from the time she wakes up to the time she goes to bed. Im not so sure what it is about these that entertains her so much, but its what our life consists of! We play with Lenny, Tuck & Ming Ming for hours upon hours!! Here are some pics of her playing this morning

Watching Mickey

Time to play!!

Hmm... what to get next

28 Weeks

Ive been feeling REALLY good this week, minus the occasional back ache and heartburn. The heartburn seems to be kicking into full gear and its gets so bad there are times where I feel like I can't breath!! I can't believe that in just 10 short weeks our beautiful baby girl will be here!!

Monday night I got my first taste of what its going to be like doing both girls loads of laundry! We have bought Ashlyn several new clothes along with some of Audree's when she was a baby. I threw both of their clothes in the washer & I swear it took me a hr to get them hung up, folded and put away.

Saturday we headed back to Round Rock to give her 3d/4d ultrasound of Ashlyn another try. Needless to say, I think Ashlyn will be our child who gives us "trouble" haha We went to Round Rock 3 weeks ago to see her and she was being just a tad bit stubborn, but she gets it honestly! She kept her hands by her ear and feet in her face so we couldn't get a good face shot. Yesterday she was in the EXACT SAME position!! I said "Oh Ashlyn come on baby let me just see you!!" However, she is making us wait until she is born to see her, all surprises for us! We did get to see "more" of her, just not everything all at once. I even drank an ice cold slushy, it did make her move a lot more but she liked keeping her face hid from us!! The BIGGEST thing she did was she threw up her longhorns @ daddy! Made him proud, we have a UT baby even in utero, now that is pride :)

She seems to move a lot more when she hears Audree talking, which means she knows her sister! Audree kept telling her "Lashlin Out" "Lashlin Face" haha but she was stubborn even for her big sister!

Here are the pics we got- i labeled them because some people can't make out what they are looking at. I think she is gorgeous already, even if we didn't get to see all of her at once haha

Ashlyn Waving to us

She was sleepy (thats her yawning and she tried to stick her whole hand in her mouth)

Ears, Arms, Ribs, & a leg

There's our LONGHORN baby already!!

Momma Panties?

So weve been in the process of attempting to potty train Audree. We started out @ 18 months and she was doing VERY well, however once she went # 2 in the potty she reverted back to square one. New Years Day we said okay this is it here we go, full blown potty training and were not looking back. Needless to say Audree decided otherwise and was crying for diapers. SOOOO we decided okay lets give it a break again. I mean she will be 2 on Feb 11th so I know most kids are not potty trained by 2, its just we were trying to get her there or on the road there before ashlyn is born.

The other night Audree came running out of her room screaming "ELLLLLLLLLLLLMO, ELLLLLLLLLLLLLMO" I had no clue what she was talking about, until she rounded the corner. She had pulled her big girl panties out of her dresser and had them on. She told us she was wearing "big gurl anies" (imagine a sweet little voice saying it just like that haha).

So ladies and gentleman here is what we saw:

" Look Momma"

Putting her legs in

She was having a "time" she said putting these on haha

Maybe this means she is just about ready to start potty training again!!

To Tie or Not to Tie

Well this week we had my 26/27 week checkup @ the Dr! Everything was great, Ashlyn is measuring right on target and we are just riding the wave! We also discussed another factor that has been really hard on me to come to terms with. Writing always makes me feel better so what a better way than to write about it on my blog.

We discussed tying my tubes with our OB and he told me straight out "this is a very serious and major decision the two you have to make. There is no going back once this is done. Yes there are procedures that say they can be reveresed but that have very little chance of working". I sat on the table with tears filling my eyes and my heart literally feeling like it was being ripped out of my chest. Dr K said its up to me in the end as I will be the one signing the paperwork. He said he will need an answer by our next checl-up (4 weeks) which makes me 30 weeks so they can prepare to file with our insurance company.

My husband says he does not want anymore kids, and I have to say my heart is a little torn. Do not get me wrong we have been blessed with one and will be blessed with another in just 11 short weeks, I just dont know if I can handle the reality of this. To know that I could never ever bare a child again truly breaks my heart. To know I will never ever feel a child inside of my stomach, to never feel the kicks, the punches, the rolls, the hiccups, the everything really really breaks me down. Literally feels like my heart is being ripped out, thrown on the ground and somebody is just stomping all over it. He says if I do not want to go through with the procedure he will discuss getting a vasectomy. Either way its basically a done deal that he is finished having kids and in the long run that means I am too.

My husband is not doing this to be "mean" or anything like that, he is thinking about Audree & Ashlyn. He wants to give them everything they need and want, he is thinking about our house, the space, financials, etc.

Then there is my side. Yes we will have 2 children, 2 amazing little princess' that mean more than the world to us. We have been blessed by God to be able to conceive, to be able to carry our own children, to have them, to watch them grow, to hold them when we want, etc. I stop and think about all the women out there yearning for just 1 baby, to be able to feel what I feel now, to just see that + on a pregnancy test. We have what they are wanting, so why should we keep trying for another child?

Then there is the "selfish" part of me that says but WHAT IF? What if 4 years down the road my heart starts longing for another child. What if we regret making this decision. What if.... What if.... What if! Its bogging my mind down and I can't stop thinking about it.

My husband & I have been blessed with one amazing girl! Audree is the best thing that has ever happened to the both of us. To look at her everyday and know she is mine, my own flesh, my own blood, she is the product of me and my husband still blows me away. To watch her live in this world and in our lives for almost 2 full years now it absolutly amazing. We get to see her become the person she is, to hear her talk, to watch her play, to feel her hugs and kisses.

Then we have our sweet little Ashlyn. She hasn't made her debut into this big world yet (and she better not for 11 more weeks :) but yet she already means more to me than my own life just like Audree does. I feel her kicks, her hiccups, her rolls, her stretching, etc. I sit and daydream about who she will look like, what type of baby will she be, will she be like Audree or have a totally different personality, Will she be a momma's girl or a daddy's girl, will she be healthy, will she go full term and the questions race on and on and on in my mind.

Tonight it really hit me that we will have another amazing little blessing from God here in just 11 short weeks! In 11 short weeks, we will have our 2 little angels here in the same house hold, in the same rooms and adjusting our lives to becoming parents of 2 and not 1. In 11 short weeks we will be holding another one of God's creation's, another angel he has put in our lives.

Bicycle & Power Wheels Kind of Night

Tonight after dinner we told Audree we would take her outside to play. Audree is DEF an outside kind of chick. Ive been so excited that the weather is warming up so we could take her out and let her play more and more. We have a huge backyard at our new house and we finally have a neighborhood where the street doesn't have cars zooming down it!

For Christmas Pop Pop & Mimi bought Audree her very first bicycle. She can reach the peddles but she doesn't understand how to actually make it go. She didn't want to wear the helmet and pads, and yes bad mom on me for not making her. Its her first time to really ride it besides around the house on Christmas Day. She had a BLAST and laughed almost the entire time. I laughed the entire time too because it was so funny to see her on that bike just going to town.

Riding down the street

Her face is priceless
He is the best daddy in the entire world

Going down the "hill", driveway

Daddy helping Audree ride her bicycle

After her bike we pulled out her Barbie powerwheels jeep. Now Santa brought this to her on her very 1st Christmas, she was only 10 months old, but Santa knew this we could in handy one day. Audree knows to make it go, but never really holds the button down. Tonight she was a PRO and had soooo much fun on it! We took her around the neighborhood and we giggled the whole time.

Powerwheels time!!

Going Off Road

HAHA has her momma's driving skills, almost ran into the mailbox!

Jumping the curb

heading home
We had so much fun with our little angel tonight. I can't believe that this time next year we will have another little angel to be outside playing with!!

Audree you're too small......

to fit in the sink!! HAHA The other night after her bath, we were blow drying her hair. I was telling Audree how when she was a baby she took some baths in the sink since she was so small. Well apparently she wanted to try to fit in the sink again! Needless to say she didn't fit hahaha

Next American Idol?

So if any of you are like me, I ♥ American Idol. However, I only ♥ the first few shows. You know when the people that can't sing get up there and sing there little hearts out, only they shouldn't be? Im sure most of you saw the "Pants on the Ground" song and I have to admit I laughed really hard and I couldn't get the song out of my head! If you missed this show you can watch it here You will laugh your hiney off

So after I watched that, I said Audree could be the Next American Idol! Not sure what she is singing here, but it it really cute

26 Weeks & Thoughts

BIG news is Ashlyn would have an 80% survival rate if born now. Granted we dont want her to come anytime soon, well we do but we want her to be a nice, healthy, BIG baby! Its sad in a way that I look at things like this. Im terrified of having another premature baby. I have nightmares and wake up myself up with tears running down my face because Ive had dreams she is born and didn't make it, or was on ventilators, etc. I am scared that she will be born early and we will experiance everything just like we did with Audree. I really dont think I can emotionally take anything like this happening. I still break down and cry and remember all the hurt and pain I felt when Audree was born. Having to see her on ventilators, tubes, oxygen, hooked up to all kinds of monitors, etc. Yes here we are 2 years later and Audree is healthy as all can be, runs around like crazy, she is very smart and doing things advanced for her age. BUT it still doesn't take anything away from what we experianced. I pray that Ashlyn stays put, I mean come on she has shown us in the last 3 ultrasound that she is stubborn, just like her momma :)

Last night we were laying in bed saying our prayers. Audree says the last word of every sentence, its very cute. Anywho after we say our prayers we God bless everyone in the family name by name. Yes this can be time consuming but we do it every night. Well last night Audree said Bless Baby "Lashlin". She stopped and thought for a minute and said "Lashlin Out" I said no baby Ashlyn has to stay in mommy's tummy for 12 more weeks. She looked at me, looked at my tummy and said "Hold her" We explained she would be the first one to hold her with mommy and daddy we promised. She didn't really like our answers. So she put her face next to my tummy and said "Lashlin, Out, Hold You!!" I told her again Ashlyn had to stay in mommy's tummy for a little bit longer, then she would be here to play with. She said "okay" then "love you sister". My heart just melted and eyes filled with tears.

At times I wonder what really goes through Audree's mind. Does she really know there is a baby in my tummy? Does she really understand that Ashlyn is going to be real? Does she really know these things or does she just say these things because we tell her Ashlyn is in there? I think she knows more than we think, but whew guess we will know in 12 weeks :)

We are now in the DOUBLE digits until the day we see Ashlyn. We have 3 months or less until she is here!! We will be a scheudled c-section and will soon be planning that date (YIKES!!) I go back to the Dr Tuesday for our monthly check-up and Im sure I will get the paperwork for the glucose test (YUCKY!) Hopefully itll be just like with Audree and I was good to do, no diabetes for me!!

Another weird thing that I am experiancing (just like I did with Audree) is my belly button is getting really sore. Its the weirdest thing I know. Its like the skin around my belly button is being pulled ( I think Ashlyn is playing games with it). It happened a lot earlier with Audree, but Im just now getting it with Ashlyn. Ive asked what this could be and Dr K just looks at me like Im nuts haha.

Things Ive noticed that are similiar to Audree's Pregnancy

* I had constant nausea until 17 weeks
* My belly button is really sore
* I lost weight with both pregnancies (20 with Audree and 10 with Ashlyn)
* Constantly worrying about my babies (yes im the worlds biggest worrier)
* I count how many times I feel them move (and yes i get nervous if its under the recomended 10 times in a hr)

Things Ive noticed that are different than Audree's Pregnancy

* My lower back is starting to get achey :(
* I am using the bathroom way more
* Ashlyn is way more active than Audree ever was
* My belly is DEF getting bigger than I was with Audree
* Im having a harder time rolling over in bed haha
* I actually get to see my belly move and pooch out on one side

How your baby's growing:

The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.

How your life's changing:

Are you rushing around trying to get to childbirth classes and prepare your baby's room while still taking care of all your other daily tasks? Make sure that you also continue to eat well and get plenty of rest. Around this time, your blood pressure may be increasing slightly, although it's probably still lower than it was before you got pregnant. (Typically, blood pressure falls toward the end of the first trimester, and it tends to reach a low at about 22 to 24 weeks.) If your lower back seems a little achy lately, you can thank both your growing uterus — which shifts your center of gravity, stretches out and weakens your abdominal muscles, and may be pressing on a nerve — as well as hormonal changes that loosen your joints and ligaments. Plus, the extra weight you're carrying means more work for your muscles and increased stress on your joints, which is why you may feel worse at the end of the day. Walking, standing, or sitting for long periods, as well as bending and lifting can all put a strain on your back. A warm bath or hot compress might bring relief. (Some women, though, find cool compresses more comforting.) Try to maintain good posture during the day, avoid activities that require bending and twisting at the same time, take frequent breaks when sitting or standing, and sleep on your side with one or both knees bent with a pillow between your legs, using another pillow (or wedge) to support your abdomen.

How Far Along? 26 Weeks
Weight Gained/Loss? still negative but I think ive gained 6 of then 10 Ive lost. Ill know for sure next Tues at our Dr appt
Maternity Clothes: when Im not in scrubs (im stretching this as far as they will go).
Sleep: oh you know its there (some of the time). I wake up several times to go potty, I really can't get comfortable and now sleeping with a pillow under my tummy. Hey Ashlyn needs comfort too! I toss and turn (yes imagine a whale rolling over haha) alot. But yeah I have sleep :) Best Moment of the Week: Wed my boss took us out for lunch. We went to Red Lobster and ate ENTIRLEY too much! Well when we got back to the office my tummy looked lopsided. Low and be hold little Ashlyn was curled up all on the left side of my tummy. It was so funny looking, but amazing at the same time. I didn't get to see things like this with Audree
Movement- Like a CRAZY woman!! I love sitting her watching my tummy move
Morning sickness? noway jose
Gender- GIRLY GIRL!!
Labor Signs- NOWAY!!! those need to stay far far away
Belly Button-its still in, has a way to go before it pops
What do I miss- sleep, being able to roll over without pain, but its sooo worth it for my angel!
Here is comparison pictures from Audree's Pregnancy & Ashlyn's. Im 26 weeks in both pictures (top picture being current)

1 month from Today

1 month from today our little Audree will be celebrating her 2nd birthday! I can not believe she will be turning 2. I am struggling with that thought, and its literally eating me up inside. Sometimes I wish she could stay little forever, my little baby and not a big girl. I love watching her grow and learn new things, but at the same time I ♥ her being small.

I told her the other night how little she used to be. How mommy & daddy didn't get to bring her home with us right away because she had to stay in the hospital since she was an early baby. I told how we used to rock her at night time, sing songs to her, pat her little hiney, and just stare at for hours and hours. Of course tears were streaming down my face and she told me " no cwy mommy" She gave me a BIG hug and kiss!

I look back at her pictures and cry all the time. They are tears of sadness because our baby is growing up but then they are tears of happiness to see how far she has come. If you dont know Audree's birth story you can click here to read it.

Audree just hours old

Audree on her first birthday (party)

We are in the planning stages and have just about everything ordered. She wanted Wonder Pets (which nobody in town carries)

So we have ordered everything off line and are just waiting for it to come in! We are having it a local museum. I know most of you are thinking local museum? BUT its better that haha it has a HUGE kid section so they can just run wild and play! They have several different room to play in including one with a HUGE floor piano they can run wild on! We have a friend doing a Wonder Pet birthday cake (hopefully the big flyboat) and another making us some Wonder Pet cookies to put in the kids party favor bags. Its gonna be fun

25 Weeks & Groooooooooooooowing

Ive been slacking on my weekly pregnancy stuff but I told myself I had to get back on track

We made a trip to Round Rock this past weekend to see Ashlyn in 3d/4d. Myself, Brett, Audree, my mother in law, my sister in law, dad & stepmom all came along. I had a feeling little missy was going to be stubborn, but I said no I will keep that thought to myself. I drank water, 12 oz of apple juice and ate a twix right before we got there thinking it would make her active. UM..... Ashlyn had other plans. She decided she was going keep on being her stubborn little self. We got bits and pieces of her on 3d/4d however we could not get an entire image. From the parts I saw she was gorgeous just like her big sissy! We did get to see her feet and she was wiggling her toes haha! She was literally folded up like a pretzel (that can't be comfortable). She has her legs up by her head, knees in her face, had one arm behind her head & the umbilical cord running through the middle of them. So this is our 3rd ultrasound and everytime she has been a little stuborn. Audree was NEVER camera shy and still to this day is NOT camera shy! I guess little Ashlyn wants her face to be a BIG surprise!!

The good news is that if little Ashlyn decided to come early she would have a 50% chance of survivial. GRANTED NO OF US WANT THAT HAPPENING, and I would LOVE A GREATER % rate but there is viability.

How your baby's growing:

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

How your life's changing

Your baby's not the only one with more hair — your locks may look more full and lustrous than ever. It's not that you're growing more hair, but thanks to hormonal changes, the hair that you'd normally shed is sticking around longer than usual. Enjoy the fullness while you can — the extra hair will fall out after you give birth. You may also notice that you can't move around as gracefully as before. Unless your caregiver has advised you otherwise, it's fine to continue to exercise, but follow a few safety rules: Don't work out when you're feeling overly tired and stop if you feel any pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. Don't lie flat on your back and avoid contact sports as well as any exercise where you're apt to lose your balance. Be sure to drink plenty of water, and make time for both warm-up and cool-down periods.

How Far Along? 25 weeks & 3 days

Weight Gained/Loss? still negative but I think ive gained 6 of then 10 Ive lost. Ill know for sure next Tues at our Dr appt
Maternity Clothes: when Im not in scrubs (im stretching this as far as they will go).

Sleep: sleep? what is sleep? haha I toss and turn all night long, and when i do get comfy it seems like the urge to potty sets in. Brett told me the other night ( @ 2am) you sure do pee alot at night haha I said yes honey when our daughter is using my bladder like a pillow it make sit tough to hold it :)

Best Moment of the Week: WEEEEEEEEELL we drove to Round Rock to see little Ashlyn in 3d and she decided she was going to by stubborn (SHOCKER!!) She had her knees in her face, arms by her ears and head and had the umbilical cord running through the both of them. We go to see bits and pieces of her, just not total views. BUT the pieces we saw sure were GORGEOUS!

Movement- this chick is dancing away in there!! Its so funny to watch my belly jump

Morning sickness? noway jose, I still get the occassional nausea at the sight of somethings and smell

Gender- GIRLY GIRL!!

Labor Signs- NOWAY!!! Better not have any for a loooooong time either

Belly Button-its still in, has a way to go before it pops

What do I miss- hmm..... as much as i love having my precious little angel inside of me, I do miss being able to sleep at night and be comfy. Ive also been getting really sharp pains on the lower left side, guess thats the round ligament pains everyone has said they have gotten. I never had these with Audree.

Daddy.... Please

This is what we heard over and over the other night from little missy. "Daddy......Mere. Mommy.... Mere Daaaaaaaddy....Meeeeeeere. Mooooooommy...... Meeeeeeeeere Daaaaaaaady preeeeeeeeeease". So off we went into Audree's room to see what she was up to and wanted. She was holding up her dollies and told Brett "Sit down prease". (yes I am typing the words correct, this is how Audree says them haha) Brett was the daddy, I was the mommy and Audree was the baby. We played and played with her little dollhouse and had so much fun! Next it was off to play with her kitchen. We eat crazy things this child cooks up!! It it so neat to sit and watch your kid use their imagination.

Daddy eating chicken

Daddy telling Audree "nobody emptied the dishwasher" (haha this is what he says in ral life too)

Daddy turning the blender on and Audree washing her eggs

Time for dollies

Showing Audree the bathtub

My husband is such an amazing father to our daughter. I never in my life imagined seeing him sitting on the floor playing dollies. I told him to get ready because it only gets better from here, not to mention we have little Ashlyn on the way (haha) God has truly blessed our family with an awesome man.

Happy 26th Birthday to my Hubby

Today is Brett's 26th birthday

Last night we celebrated with the family by going out to Chuy's for dinner. Brett & I headed up there early because there was a hr and a half wait to seat 21 people. We went and put our names on the list and headed to the mall to pick up Brett's cookie cake.

It was all of our first time's to eat here so I was anticipating whether it would be everything people were cracking it up to be. We took up just about a whole room because we had such a large party. Our food came out fairly quick for as many people as we had and the waitress did very well at getting our food right! I wouldn't say it was EVERYTHING people said it was, but it was pretty good Mexican food.

After dinner, everyone headed back to our house for cake! We lit a fire, sang Happy Birthday to Brett and sat around and talked. It was such a good time and so glad everyone came to celebrate.

Today I woke up and made Brett breakfast (pigs in the blanket) and pretty much lounged around. We all 3 took a birthday nap (I love family naps!!!) then woke up and called in Wing Stop for lunch. We came over to Brett's parent's house so Brett and his dad could watch the Cowboys.

Having fun at dinner

Overall, I think he had a GREAT 26th birthday!!
