Coop Dawg

I think its safe to say that we have one spoiled little boy. Cooper is definitely our little baby at the moment. The girls can't keep their hands off of him and I have to say neither can Brett or I can either. He is just so darn sweet and lovable. He is in the puppy biting stage which is KILLER right now. His little teeth are sharper than razor blades! He chews on his toys for the most part but when he gets you OUCH!!!

Cooper cracks me up when he sleeps. He lays on his back with all 4 feet in the air, its hilarious to see! He sleeps like a human. Most nights he sleeps in his kennel, but last night he just wasn't having it. He whined, cried, barked, scratched, etc. so I finally caved in around 11:45 last night and let him in the bed with us. That's all he wanted..... he curled up right next to us and crashed. He is one SPOILED little boy!

Playdate

Audree has been having a really tough time at school. About a month ago she was eating her lunch and got choked up on some food, which in turn made her throw up. Well she got really embarrased and somehow got it into her little head that everytime she ate at school she would throw up. She REFUSED to eat her lunches at school and actually got to the point where she wouldn't even play.

We tried bribing her with McDonalds, 3 spoons and even a trip to Sea World! She just wasn't having it. So this past Friday we had a playdate at Jumping Place with 3 friends from school. Audree was shy at first, but opened up and had such a good time! I really think it helped in knowing that her friends were there for her and they were just there to have a good time.

Monday at school she cried at drop off. I was really worried about her, because well no mom wants to see their kids sad. I called halfway through the morning and talked to the director. She stated that Audee was playing on the playground and just having a blast with her friends. She called me back after lunch and said she even ate all of her lunch and when my mother in law went to pick her up she had a HUGE smile on her face! Let me just tell you it made this lady ONE HAPPY MOMMA!!

We have a new baby boy!

Nope nobody around his is preggo lol but we did welcome the newest member to our family on Saturday. Meet Cooper:

He is the biggest sweetheart! He loves to cuddle, play and sleep. He just turned 6 weeks on Friday the 13th so he is still just a little bitty thing. He sleeps most of the time, but is EXCELLENT so far with potty training. The girls are just in love with him and I have to admit we are too. I just love this little guy to pieces.

Happy 2nd Birthday Ashlyn!!!

Wow 2 years ago today we welcomed one of the most beautiful little girls into the world. You can read her birth story by clicking here.

Ashlyn you are such a blessing to our family. You definitely keep us on our toes man make sure we are top of things. You are potty trained for the most part & wear big girl panties unless its naptime or bedtime. You ♥ playing with babies, being outside, splashing in the bathtub, blowing bubbles, help clean and so much more. I cant believe my little baby is now 2! You are just growing entirely too fast for me. Seems like just yesterday you were born.

You are such a blessing to us. I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us!

Anniversary Weekend

This past weekend Brett & I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary. We headed out Friday afternoon to good ol Austin Tx! Its one of our favorite cities to go to and its so close to us.

We started out by ice skating as we got into Austin. Let me just say I am a TERRIBLE ice skater! I wouldn't leave the walls and everytime I tried I almost busted! There were little kids swarming by us just going and skating like it was nothing. Brett had a rough start but FINALLY got the hang of it. That is until this happened......

LOL! A little kid came right in from of him and he couldn't stop. I laughed so hard, of course after making sure he was ok. Im just glad I got in with my phone hahahaha Poor Bretty.

After ice skating we headed to our hotel to get ready for dinner. We went to a place called Roaring Fork. It was pretty darn good and the service was excellent! They had an anniversary card sitting on the table for us when we arrived. The chef also prepared a special treat for us which was fried romano cheese, with goat cheese and green onions for an appetizer. They also provided us with a delicious huckleberry cheesecake and wrote happy anniversary on the plate. It was just too nice of them!

After dinner we headed down to Congress bridge to watch the bats fly out. We got there early so we walked around, watched all the kayakes on the lakes, etc. When it was time for the bats to fly out, then ended up being shy :( They normally fly out in HUGE batches right around dusk and you can see them in the air. However this time, they decided they would wait until it was DARK outside until they came out. We got to see them, it was just harder to actually see them.

After the bats we headed to 6th street to go to Esther Follies. If you are ever in Austin, I highly recommend you go to this show. Weve been the last 2 years and laugh our rears off everytime. Its a comedy show that is absolutley HILARIOUS!

After the show we headed back to our hotel to hit the sack. We woke up the next morning and headed to a place called Serranos. Its a Mexican food place right downtown. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOO good! It it probably the best Mexican food that we have ever tasted. After that we headed home to pick up our beautiful angels!! BOY did we miss them!

Heres to many many more years!!

Easter 2012

Well little peter cottontail has hopped down the bunny trail once again.

We hosted Easter at our house for the 2nd year in a row. Its so nice having ALL of our family at one place at one time. My father in law smoked a brisket, I made some delicious baked beans, we had deviled eggs, potato salad, green bean casserole, mac n cheese, scalloped potatoes, & cupcakes for dessert. We had food coming out of our ears, but it was all so delicious!!!

My neice, Audree & Ashlyn hunted Easter eggs. They had 125 to hunt and find, the Easter bunny was quite generous this year to them. Ashlyn got the hang of picking up eggs pretty quick, Laura ran around like a egg hunting pro and Audree, well.....she was still my little shy girl who eventually warmed up to hunting eggs.

After we all hunted eggs and ate it was time for the confetti eggs. We do this every year and the girls absolutley love it. Audree and Laura were trying to be sneaky and get grammy with the 1st confetti egg. Laura suceeded and got Grammy! Audree on the other hand ended up breaking the egg in her hand hahaha They tried to get me 3 times and I dodged it every time. I think almost everyone there got hit with one at one point in time.

I hope all of you had a wonderful and blessed Easter.
