Week in a glance

This past weekend was a doozy!!! Friday around lunch time I got really nauseous. I thought I had just gotten too hot because it was a little warm in my office. So I went home, put my hair up in a ponytail, put some shorts on and headed back to work. I still didn’t feel great, but I felt better than I did. Around 7:30 that night it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was sick and felt AWFUL! My stomach was super nauseous and I could not get the feeling to go away. I stayed this way all night Friday and almost all night Saturday. The girls were so sweet and tried to make me feel better.

Saturday night Brett did get me out of bed to watch “This Means War” which I really liked. I’m a big Reese Witherspoon fan and I just love her acting, so I enjoyed it. After the movie, I was back in bed.

Sunday morning I woke up feeling ickey still, but not as bad. Around noon I actually started feeling human again. We took the girls to a local splash park and they loved it. I love watching them play, laugh and have a good time together. After the splash park we took them to U-Swirl for some froyo. Then we headed to my in-laws so I could cook dinner. We found a new recipe and I wanted to try it but it made a lot and I was not going to chance eating anything with my stomach being all crazy. I made loaded potato & buffalo chicken casserole. It was a hit and it was all eaten up!

Monday morning I had to take my sweet Cooper boy to the vet to go under the knife! I hated taking him, but I knew it needed to be done. I went and picked him up that afternoon and he was so mad at me. He wouldn’t look at me, give me kisses or anything! He was pretty drugged up from the anesthesia the rest of the night but he finally cuddled up next to me when it was time for bed. He’s back to acting his crazy, hyper, normal self now!

Oh we also got rain about 4 days this week so that was a plus! Our weather hasn’t been NEAR as hot as last year. We had 43 days in a row where it was over 100 last summer & a total of 85 days where it hit over 100. Don’t get me wrong, weve had days over 100 but its nothing like last summer. The rain has been welcomed with open arms here and I like it because its less on my water bill hehehehe

4th of July

Well another 4th of July has come and gone, I can't believe it! Time is just flying by this year. We had a fun and relaxing 4th of July this year.

We had family over for a last minute cookout, which came together quite while for as quick as we planned it. We grilled chicken, sausage links, hot dogs, had baked beans, potato salad, and patriotic cake for dessert.

After lunch we headed to my sister in laws to swim. This has been our hangout for most weekends so far this summer. The girls LOVE swimming and of course their Aunt "Mem" and Cousin Laura. My girls are little fishy's and could swim all day long if you let them.

After we swam for a bit, we headed home to shower, change & head downtown to watch the fireworks. It was super crowded, as always, but we had fun. We watched the corn dog eating contest, which I thought was going to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more fun to watch lol The winner only ate 4 footlongs, I was thinking they would all be chowing down afast, but neh they took their time it seemed like. The girls made some hats, we walked down by the river, grabbed some food, then went and camped back out on our chairs and blanket. They had a band playing and Ashlyn was getting down! Audree was a little impatient, she was ready to see the fireworks, and when they came on she was in AWE!!! They were really good this year, I was impressed!

After the fireworks we loaded up and headed home. We were afraid of the traffic because its always bad, but we lucked out this year. We literally hit NONE!! We went out of the parking lot a different way then others did and it paid off! The girls passed out on the way home, they were worn out. We weren't too far behind them once we got everything unloaded.

This morning I am draaaaaaaaaaaaaaging! I think it should be outlawed that we have to work the day after July 4th :) I hope all of you had a wonderful 4th of July!!
