Who likes GIVE-A-WAYS!!

I posted a few weeks ago about my friend Crystal and her baby's heart condition.She is doing give a aways in hopes that she can help spread the word on CHD awareness. This is her second give-a-way.

Her 7 month old daughter, Bentley, was diagnosed with a CHD (congenital heart defect) when she was just 2 days old. It is called Tetralogy of Fallot and she will need open heart surgery in order to survive. Bentley will be having her surgery in less than 2 months. There are several different types of CHD's.. many are life threatening and all are life long journeys.

Meet Bentley...

Isn't she just the cutest lil thing?

Here are just a few CHD facts.. there are many more...

* Congenital heart defects are the #1 birth defect. Nearly one of every 100 babies is born with a CHD.
* Congenital heart defects are the #1 cause of birth defect related deaths.
Congenital heart defects are the leading cause of all infant deaths in the United States.
* Each year approximately 40,000 babies are born in the United States with a congenital heart defect. thousands of them will not reach their first birthday and thousands more die before they reach adulthood.

Here is her give a way this week!! Please visit her blog, read her stories, grab her button and help us spread the word!! Her button is on the right ahdn side of my page (its praying for bentley)

Easter Bunny Pic = SUCCESS

Well while we were at the mall today I noticed the Easter Bunny was there. Mind you I had not planned on getting her pics taken! haha Audree was just wearing jeans, a tshirt and her tennis shoes but I thought what the hey!

She laughed at the Easter Bunny and took really good pics!! Our Santa pics weren't too good, she was "afraid" of him!!

Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie

okay so its not a polka dot bikini but it is yellow!! While shopping @ Gymboree this afternoon something caught my eye....We bought Audree her very first bikini today!! Doesn't she look adorable in it? Out hotel in San Antonio has a heated pool so were hoping to get to try it out!!

Build A Bear

Well for Easter Uncle Chris got Audree a gift card to Build A Bear. Since he wont be here next weekend we celebrated early with him. Today we got and went to build a bear for the very first time. There were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many things to choose from so it made it really tough. I took Audree around and we looked at all the animals. She liked ALOT of them but finally picked out a bunny.

Next we went and stuffed and Audree stepped on the pedal to help the stuffing go in. She did such a GOOD job! Next we went and picked out a very special heart for Bunnie. We went and gave her a bath then off to pick out an outfit for her. I must say my child was very picky on the outfit she wanted her bunny to have but we finally picked one out! She picked out a pink shirt that says TEXAS in rhinestones and a denim skirt. We also got her some pink sandals and 2 pink bows! We did her birth certificate and couldn't think of a name for her. We finally said BUNNIE BUECHEL would be the best!! HAHA We are so creative huh? hey we changed the spelling!!

We had so much fun and Audree did too!! We will DEF be going back to make her more. Here are some pics!

The Cost Of Raising A Child

The Cost of Raising a Child:

The government recently calculated the cost of raising a child from birth to 18 and came up with $160,140.00 for a middle income family. Talk about price shock! That doesn't even touch college tuition!! But $160,140.00 isn't so bad if you break it down.

It translates into:

* $8,896.66 a year

*$741.38 a month

* $171.08 a weekOR...

* a mere $24.24 a day!

That's just over a dollar an hour!!! Still, you might think the best financial advice is don't have children if you want to be 'rich.' But actually, it is just the opposite.

So, what do you get for your $160,140.00 exactly?

* Naming rights: First, middle, and last!

* Glimpses of God every day.

* Giggles under the covers every night.

* More love than your heart can hold.

* Butterfly kisses and Velcro hugs.

* Endless wonder over rocks, ants, clouds, and warm cookies.

* A hand to hold, usually covered with jelly or chocolate.

* A partner for blowing bubbles and flying kites.

* Someone to laugh yourself silly with, no matter what the boss said or how your stocks performed that day.

For $160,140.00, you never have to grow up.

You get to:

* finger-paint,

* carve pumpkins,

* play hide-and-seek,

* catch lightning bugs, and

* never stop believing in Santa Claus.

You have an excuse to:

* keep reading the Adventures of Piglet and Pooh,

* watch Saturday morning cartoons,

* go to Disney movies, and

* wish on stars.

You get to:

* frame rainbows, hearts, and flowers under refrigerator magnets and collect!

* spray painted noodle wreaths for Christmas, hand prints set in clay for Mother's Day, and cards with backward letters for Father's Day.

For a mere $24.24 a day, there is no greater bang for your buck!!

You get to be a hero just for:

* retrieving a Frisbee off the garage roof,

* taking the training wheels off a bike,

* removing a splinter,

* filling a wading pool,

* coaxing a wad of gum out of bangs, and coaching a baseball team that never wins but always gets treated to ice cream regardless.

You get a front row seat in history to witness the:

* first step,

* first word,

* first bra,

* first date, and

* first time behind the wheel.

You get to be immortal. You get another branch added to your family tree, and if you're lucky, a long list of limbs in your obituary called grandchildren and great grandchildren. You get an education in psychology, nursing, criminal justice, communications, and human sexuality that no college can match.

In the eyes of a child, you rank right up there under God. You have all the power to heal a boo-boo, scare away the monsters under the bed, patch a broken heart, police a slumber party, ground them forever, and love them without limits, so one day they will, like you, love without counting the cost. That is quite a deal for the price!!!!!!!

Week 1 Weigh In With Medi Weight Loss

Well my first week has come to an end with Medi Weight Loss. I was scared and excited to weigh in this morning. I went in and weighed................Are you ready for this......

DRUM ROLL PLEASE.................. 7 lbs GONE!!

I am super duper excited!! I mean Ive tried working out, being on diets, etc and NOTHING has worked!! I will say the diet isn't as hard as I thought it would be. When I heard 500 calories a day I was like HOLY COW ILL NEVER MAKE IT!! I am so WRONG!! I am barely hungry and almost in a way have to make myself eat my meals. I will say Im a little tired of the meat all the time, but this week I get to have salads and veggies so that will help me!

For those of you who are wondering what this diet involves I will explain:

Initial Consultation is $280. I know this is a lot BUT it covers ALOT of things! You will get an EKG, Full panel blood work, your consultation with the Dr, All your pills (5 different ones), 2 shots ( 1 that is Vitamin B12 and Vitamin B1 & B6) and all your information you will need for the diet.

Weekly you will go and pay $70. You wil have your blood pressure taken, you will get weighed, review your results and talking about how you will continue your diet.

I know this sounds like a lot of money and I wont lie it is. BUT this diet truley works. I am a RESULT after just 1 week. I am determined to lose the weight I have gained and be healthier. I vowed to myself, my husband and daughter that I would NOT gain this weight back. This is a life changing event for me as well as my family. We are becoming healthier as one!! I can't wait to see my results at the end of this diet!!

If you want to know anything else just ask me :o)
