One of my favorite times of the year has always been the 4th of July! It's hot, sun shining, the smell of food on the grill, swimming and of course fireworks!!
Sunday Brett, Audree & Myself swam in our pool while little miss Ashlyn slept in her swing, she's such a party animal. It was fun splish splashing around with our little fishy and watching her "swim". She is getting pretty good with her arm floaties, she kicks her feet and moves her arms, but every now and then she still gets a little scared and wants us to hold her.
After we swam and showered we headed to get Audree some fireworks. We had some left over from New Years Eve but I wanted to get her some fun things, like the chickens that lay eggs, some snakes and she picked out some ladybugs. We headed to the inlaws were Brett grilled us some yummy burgers!!!
After dinner we went outside and did a few fireworks which Audree was okay with, well except when the ladybug made tons of noises and flew into the air haha She LOVED the smoke bombs though, she likes to play it safe. It was too hot then, so we let it cool down and waited until it got darker, or Audree would say the moon had to come out. I tried to get Audree to hold a sparkler, but she was NOT having it. She ended up running inside and watching through the windows- scaredy cat!! So Brett & Myself had fun doing the fireworks while my sister in law and her boyfriend watched. We called it a night pretty early, as both girls were exhausted.
Yesterday we headed to the lake with my dad, stepmom, Audree, my niece and the pifers. We let the girls swim, we caught some and just chit chatted for about 4 hours. We headed to feed the ducks, because that is Audree's favorite thing to do. The girls had an absolute blast, they giggled and laughed so much it was soooo cute! They really thought it was funny when Brett got to drive the boat. Hmmmm...... maybe we can talk him into buying us a boat!!
