Ho Ho Ho Hospital???

Monday morning audree still wasn't herself. I called her pedi and they wanted her to come in.

The took one look at her and said oh man she doesn't look good at all. I explained everything that had been going and they pulled notes from the ER visit the night before. They couldn't believe we weren't admitted last night to the hospital.

They did bloodwork and it actually came back decent. They said she looked way worse than what the tests results showed. Audree hadn't been to the bathroom in around 12 hours, so they kept trying to push fluids in her. Audree refused, even popsicles :( Dr said she would give her until 3 pm to go potty, which gave us about 4 hours to push fluids in her. Her diagnosis at the times was double ear infection, & bronchitis.

We went and picked her antibiotics and ear drops and headed home. I tried all afternoon to make Audree drink but she would just take sips here and there. All she wanted to do was sleep. 3 came and went and I called her pedi. They ended up saying it was time to admit her. I was crushed, but knew it would be best for her at this point in time.

Audree was a basketcase once she realized they were going to start another iv on her. It was TORTURE! The nurses were excellent but Audree was screaming for them not to hurt her. I cried and cried with her and Brett had to look the other way.

Our overnight admission ended up being 5 days. She had to be eating and drinking more on her own before they would discharge us. SOOOOOO after much encouragement and telling Audree lets go home for Christmas we finally got her drinking enough on her own to come home!

Under the Weather......

Saturday dec 17 audree wasn't feeling well at all :( she wasn't her normal happy go lucky self but she wasn't running any fever. She helped make food for our Christmas party and decorate as well. We even went to a birthday party that afternoon where she ran and played and had a blast.

At the start of our Christmas party audree was herself, but as the night went on she quickly faded. At 730 she was crashed on the couch under some covers. My dad said she felt warm and boy was he right. I went to put her in our bed, took her nightgown off of her and gave her some motrin. She slept all night long, so I was hoping she felt better in the morning.

Sunday morning came and audree was much worse than the night before. She was very lethargic, wouldn't eat or drink and just wanted to sleep. She was running a fever of 103 so I took her to an urgent care clinic since it was a Sunday. They took one look at her and immediately said she needs iv fluids. Nobody felt comfortable sticking her bc her veins were so small so they sent us to ER.

Once we got to the ER and back in a room they starts audree on iv fluids. It had been ATLEAST 12 hours since she had pottier and she ha to potty before we could leave. I was a little perturbed at the ER Dr as he didn't seem too concerned and did my even order a blood test. Anywho we sat in the ER for about 4.5 hours, audree received 2 bags of fluid, potties and sent us home with a prescription for antibiotics.

Santa Claus is Coming......

We took the girls to our local mall yesterday so they could take their pictures with Santa. We stood in line for probably 45 minutes and the girls were having the best time. Ashlyn kept looking at Santa saying "Ho Ho Ho" and Audree kept practicing her smile.

When it was our turn the girls FROZE. Ashlyn screamed bloody murder which triggered Audree to start her waterworks. I calmed her down enough to get a picture, which is quite funny. She forced a smile onto her terrified face.

Maybe next year Ill get both of them together with Santa, maybe...........

Shrek the Halls.....

Every year my in-laws pay for the entire family to do something fun at Christmas. For the past 2 years we have gone to the Gaylord Texan where they put on an ICE show. Now when I say ICE, I mean it. There is over 2 MILLION pounds of ice and everything in the exhibit is carved out of ice. It really is AMAZING to see.

This year's theme was Shrek and it was sooooo adorable! Audree loves Shrek so it was a DEFINITE plus for her. We got there walked around & took some pics before we headed into the actual ice show.

Before heading into the actual ice exhibit they give you these huge blue parkas to wear. I always layer the girls up with tights under their jeans, and 2 shirts because it is FREEZING in there. Ashlyn looked hilarious in her parka, it was so funny looking to see her walking around in it. It swallowed her whole but she pulled off the look pretty well. Audree was more than ready to go inside and see Shrek.

In the middle of the ice show they have slides made out of ice. Laura, Audree & Brett decided they would go down it. I was video taping Audree going down the slide when all of the sudden I see Brett coming down. So I decided I would record him as well, I ended up getting him face planting on the ice lol It really is funny. He did hurt his knee in the process though. Poor guy, I actually uploaded the to America's Funniest Home Videos, maybe we will be on the show :)

***BLOGGER isn't letting me upload the video at this time GRRRRR***

After the ice show the girls went snow tubing. This ride was SOOOOO much fun and it went super fast! Brett & I took turns ridin with Audree. She loved this ride.

Baptism

My sweet little Ashlyn will be baptized January 14th!

I am so excited and happy all at the same time. I am a little worried how she will take our pastor sprinkling water over her, but I think she will be ok. We have asked my sister in law and my brother to be her Godparents. This is such a special time in our lives.

Christmas Pics

Last weekend we took the girls to go and get their Christmas pics taken. Needless to say it was a ROUGH morning with the 2 of them. Neither one of them wanted to smile, Ashlyn had her thumb in her mouth, and Audree well she was just being a lil stinker.

We managed to get several cute pictures after I bribed them with a goody from the store lol

Santa!!!

Well the girls Santa Claus presents are finished! I am so stinking excited and I know they will be when they wake up Christmas morning. We will have these set up and ready for them to play with!

The girls ♥ playing dollhouse. They fight over the little fisher-price one we have beacause its not big enough and they both like to play. So we decided they needed a BIG dollhouse where the both of them can play. We decided on this one:

Audree has been asking for a scooter for the longest time. She has told me for months that she wants Santa Claus to bring her one so she can be a big girl. Santa was going to bring her one where she could pedal with her legs, but Santa found an ever better one! AND ITS MINNIE MOUSE!!!

Ashlyn has been tough this year. She is at an age where she is too young for most toys and too old for others. Not to mention we saved ALL of Audree's old toys for her to play with! Ive been scratching my head but she is pretty set on her Christmas. I saw this vanity and just knew she had to have it.
