"Thanks"giving

I always stop and think during the Thanksgiving season exactly what am I thankful for? Don’t get me wrong, I am thankful everyday that God gives me another day on this Earth as well as everything he provides for myself and others. BUT during this season I like to write down what I am thankful for and why.

My husband- I am so thankful for my husband. He is the man that I have always envisioned I would marry and have a family with. Little did I know that when God blessed me with putting him in my life I would receive way more than what I ever thought I needed. H is my rock and my strength. He is my big and my small. He is my day and night, he is my everything. He always knows how to cheer me up when I am down and having a bad moment. He knows the right words to say to me no matter what the situation. I love falling asleep in his arms at night and waking up in them in the morning. I love the way he holds me close and the sense of security and well being he gives me. I love how he always makes me laugh and brings such a huge smile to my face. I love to watch him interact with our daughter and see the love in his eyes for her. Our love for each other is just something that I can not even put into words. 7 years of being with him has made me such a better and stronger person. I could not imagine my life without him being in it.

Our daughter- Where do I begin? I am so thankful that God has blessed us with such an angel. In 2007 when we found out we were expecting, our world changed and in a BIG way. The family of 2 we have lived in for 3 years now became a family of 3. I can remember laying in bed at night wondering what she would look like, how would she act, etc. Little did we know she would arrive 2 months early and show us exactly everything we were thinking. Feb 11 2008 our little angel made her appearance and our lives were completely changed. Seeing our own flesh and blood was the most amazing thing we’ve ever experienced. 21 months later its still the most amazing thing we’ve ever seen. I love watching her grow everyday. I love hearing her talk and most of all hearing her say mommy and daddy and of course la loo (love you)! I love to just sit back and watch her be her. Waking up to her smile every morning is a true reminder that there is a God up in heaven.

Our 2nd angel- I am so thankful that God has not only blessed my family and I with one baby, but now a second. I love rubbing my belly and feeling the connection with our 2nd baby (peanut jr, audree was peanut). Feeling the movement and the little kicks it just so amazing. To know that God has created another human being and it is inside of my stomach amazes me. I can not wait to watch my belly grow bigger, feel the big kicks and rolls, and best of all seeing our baby in the next 5 months! I am so thankful that God is giving me this experience and placing another baby into our lives.

My parents- I am so thankful for my parents. I mean without them I do not know where I would be. They are always there for me no matter what time of the day or night. They are there to listen to my problems no matter how big or small. They have always loved me unconditionally and continue to do so. I know I do not say this as often as I should, but I am thankful you are my parents and I am thankful to be your daughter.

My siblings- even though we have fought like cats and dogs in the past, I am thankful that God chose me to be your sister! I would not have it any other way! My brother is like a 2nd father to me. He has always watched over me and and made sure I was okay. He always protected me and still to this day he does. He is the best big brother in the entire world! When we were little, of course I didn't appreciate it, but now I am so thankful for everything he has done for me and continues to do. He has a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off of his back. I am so proud of who he has become and what he does with his life. I am thankful that I get the opporunity to say I love you and you are the such a huge part of my world.

My friends- I am so thankful for all of the times we have shared. The good times and the bad, the laughter and the tears, and just all of the time we spend together. I love all of the inside jokes we have & the private conversations. Without my friends my life would be pretty boring!! Thank you guys for always being there for me

And finally the biggest thing I am thankful for in this life?

My relationship with the Lord. Without him, I would have none of the above! I have never had doubts about the big man upstairs and Ive always believed in him. Even though times got rough, he was and is always there to show me that he is listening to me and he has everything under control. I put all of my fears and worries into his hands and he always lets me know he is going to make everything okay. God is always there showing me new things and a new light and I am thankful to have him and his guidance.

Now that you know what I am thankful for I'll leave you with this question:

What are you thankful for this season?

Out with the old, In with the new

Well if you haven't heard by now, our house if officially under contract! Yep, we are moving out and a new family is moving in. We also found a house in Hewitt that we loved and are officially under contract with. The closing dates for both homes is set for Dec 10th! We will be in our new house by Cmas!!

As happy as I am to be moving to a new home in a way better neighborhood and school district, I am very sad. This was mine & Brett's first home. We moved in the week after we got married as well as this is Audree's first home. Ive cried many tears (yes I know Im crazy) but in reality it is really sad to me.

BUT........... out with the old and in with the new right? Our inspection ont he new house is set for Thursday. I am going to try to get in and take pics so I can post some for yall!!

Saturday Football

Well this weekend we headed to good ol Baylor stadium, but not to watch the Bears, the HORNS were here!! We bought our tickets they went on sale, because as most of you know we are pretty big UT fans around here!

Friday I went to Motherhood and found a 3/4 length sleeve shirt and headed to Michaels and got some iron on letters and rhinestones. I made me a shirt that says Future Longhorn and it had an arrow pointing down to my belly! I got several compliments on it!

We got there a hr and a half before the game so we could watch the Horns warm up. It was a little chilly at first, but Mr Sun finally came out and made it a veyr beautiful day outside. Once the game began it was immediatley a blow out in my eyes, of course who can really play well against the Horns? Going into half time the score was 40 to nothing, yes folks you read that right, 40 to NOTHING!! Brett headed down at halftime to stretch his legs and when he came back he was so excited to show us pictures he snapped of Roger Clemens. I didn't know who he was off the bat, but I finally figured him out. He was a past longhorn and then he went on to play for the Yankees and the Red Soxs.

The 2nd half was pretty uneventful, the horns put there like 20th string backups in (haha okay so like there 4th and 5th strings) and believe it or not Baylor's 1st strings were still struggling to keep up. Baylor finally scored 2 touchdowns and the final score was 47-14.

After the game we headed to my inlaws to pick up our little angel girl. We talked about bringing her to the game, but in the end we decided she probably wouldn't sit still long enough to watch. We ate dinner with my inlaws (we ordered Rosati's YUMMY) and then headed to Blockbuster to rent "The Ugly Truth". We came home, Audree went to bed, we watched the movie (I actually stayed awake for the entire movie which is a shocker!!!) and off we went to bed.

17 Weeks

Not much has really changed from last week to this week. The heartburn has come on with an advengence it seems like. I will wake up, drink some water and bam there it is. I am no surprised as it was pretty bad with Audree as well. Movements are still going on but they are far and in between. I feel like they baby is tap dancing on my uterus at times haha. When we listen to the baby at night on the doppler you can hear it moving around like crazy! Im just waiting until I can feel every single bit of it!

How your baby's growing:

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

How your life's changing:

Starting to feel a bit off balance? As your belly grows, your center of gravity changes, so you may begin to occasionally feel a little unsteady on your feet. Try to avoid situations with a high risk of falling. Wear low-heeled shoes to reduce your risk of taking a tumble; trauma to your abdomen could be dangerous for you and your baby. You'll also want to be sure to buckle up when you're in a car — keep the lap portion of the seat belt under your belly, drawn snugly across your hips, and also use the shoulder harness, which should fit snugly between your breasts. You may also notice your eyes becoming drier. Using over-the-counter lubricating drops may help. If your contact lenses become uncomfortable, try wearing them for shorter stretches of time. If you still have discomfort, switch to glasses until after you give birth.

How Far Along? 17 weeks
Total Weight Gained/Loss? ranges from -10 to -9
Maternity Clothes: On the weekends, scrubs during the week
Sleep: in between me getting up to pee, the hubby waking me up to tell me on my back or right side, im still getting it
Best Moment of the Week: Feeling more movements, our house is under contract and we have a new house under contract!!
Movement- still flutters
Morning sickness? nope
Gender- we will know Nov 24th, hopefully our little peanut cooperates
Labor Signs- NOWAY!!! Better not have any for a loooooong time eitherBelly Button-waaaaaaaaaaaaay in! (never popped out with Audree)
What do I miss- having NO heartburn!!! At times I miss being able to eat red meat (yes its my food adversion and it was with Audree too), being able to eat and not feel a little icky afterwards, but other than that I am feel really good and getting so excited as the weeks go by!!
What I'm looking forward to- hopefully finding out the gender of our little peanut jr next week!!
Milestones- were 3 weeks away from our halfway mark!

Goofball

When Brett cleans the bathroom my kid decides to grab the trash can (its clean of course) and run around with it on her head. Its her Sunday ritual and she dies laughing when she does it.

16 Weeks

We are now just 4 short weeks away from the halfway point! HOLY COW BATMAN I can't believe we are almost halfway through this journey.

Heartburn has seemed to give me a break this week which is always so nice! I can't stand the chalky taste of them, even the flavored ones! I lived off of these with Audree and was even put on Zantac 75 because it was so bad.

Belly is DEF growing and some days I feel like I am HUGE for 16 weeks and some days I feel like I'm NORMAL size for 16 weeks.

As for the movement and flutters, Im still feeling them and it feels like peanut jr is tap dancing on my uterus! I'll feel movement and then it seems like several days will go by before I feel the baby move again.

Audree gets really excited to hear the baby, we listen to him or her every night before bed. She runs in the living room and tells Brettt "Daddy mere mere, baby" over and over until he comes in there. Its really cute and I have to get it on video!! Audree likes to help find the baby and hold the doppler. When she hears the baby's heartbeat she says "Shhh.... baby" haha She is way to cute!! Here are some pics of her helping find the baby. I use Cocoa Butter instead of the doppler gel because I actually hear it better with the lotion.

How your baby's growing:

Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

How your life's changing:

The top of your uterus is about halfway between your pubic bone and your navel, and the round ligaments that support it are thickening and stretching as it grows. You're probably feeling a whole lot better as you settle into pregnancy, too. Less nausea, fewer mood swings, and "glowing" skin contribute to an overall sense of well-being.Soon you'll experience one of the most wonderful moments of pregnancy — feeling your baby move. While some women notice "quickening" as early as 16 weeks, many don't feel their baby move until about 18 weeks or more. (And if this is your first baby, don't be too impatient — you may not be aware of your baby's movements until 20 weeks or so.) The earliest movements may feel like little flutters, gas bubbles, or even like popcorn popping. Over the following weeks they'll grow stronger and you'll be able to feel them much more frequently.

How Far Along? 16 weeks
Total Weight Gained/Loss? -10 lbs when I weighed earlier this week
Maternity Clothes: On the weekends, scrubs during the week

Best Moment of the Week: Feeling more movements
Movement- still flutters
Morning sickness? nope
Gender- we will know Nov 24th, hopefully our little peanut cooperates
Labor Signs- NOWAY!!! Better not have any for a loooooong time either
Belly Button-waaaaaaaaaaaaay in! (never popped out with Audree)

What I'm looking forward to- to start feeling big kicks and rolls, my tummy to grow grow grow, our gender ultrasound

Treat Please.....

Well Saturday was of course none other than HALLOWEEN!! We were so excited to take Audree trick or treating... Last year she wasn't walking yet (she was only 8 months old) so we just took her to the grandparents and came home. This year she could actually experiance the whole process!!

We started out by visiting Nonna & Granddad (my mom & stepdad) and Nana (Audree's great g-ma). This was her first stop and practice round of saying trick or treat. Then we went to Pa Pa & Grammy's (Brett's parents). She got a little trick or treat basket with a halloween bear that she ♥ ed. We got to see cousin La (Laura) in her spider witch costume!

Our last stop for the grandparents was Pop Pop (my dad). We decided we would try to trick or treat for a little bit around their neighborhood, but barley any houses had their lights on. We went to about 5 houses then we headed home.

When we turned down our street, it was PACKED! I mean there were kids and cars everywhere!! So we parked the car and started trick or treating around our neighborhood! I held Audree's pumpkin until we got up to the houses because it was too heavy for her haha. Brett knocked on the door and then Audree would say Treat "peas" Everyone was saying how cute she was haha she said forget the trick part, she just wanted the treats! haha After they put the candy in her pail she would say thank you! Hey atleast my kid has manners right?!?!

We got home around 7:45 that evening. We had to get home to watch UT kick OSU's rear! We handed out some candy at our house, but it didn't last long. Seriously, we lasted for about 15 minutes and they WIPED us out! We had atleast 15 to 20 kids each time we opened the door, I swear they just come by the car load! Audree was SOOO tired! We watched about 20 minutes of the game then off I went to take Audree to bed. Little did I know we would both be asleep within 15minutes haha

Here are some pics from the night. Audree would NOT look at the camera and smile for anything!! I got 1 good picture of her.
